BEHIND THE BOOKSHOP!
The beach wasn’t just home—it was her muse. The ever-changing tides, the interplay of light and water, and the relaxed elegance of coastal living shaped Donna Stiles’s aesthetic sensibilities and design philosophy long before she ever put pen to paper.
Some people follow a straight path. Donna never did—and she wouldn’t have it any other way. She’s been a dance director, a mother, and once, briefly, a beauty queen as Miss Delaware. But it’s the quieter, in-between years that shaped her most: two decades spent nurturing young minds, teaching children not just steps and lessons, but confidence and creativity.
Her family’s story took root in Ocean City, Maryland, where summers stretched long and the water was always close by. She and her two children spent those years exploring waterways with Black Lab’s Raven and Captain at their side—memories that still echo through her creative work today.
Along the way, traveling with her husband opened her eyes to new places, cultures, and perspectives—adding yet another layer to the way she sees the world and shapes her work today. Now home on Florida’s Gulf Coast, Donna’s chapter looks a little different but no less full. Her French Bulldog, Hook, has become her shadow and muse. Her grandson JJ and grand dogs Tate and Camie bring new joy to every ordinary day.
